Instant Helathy Upma Recipe By Using Golden Bansi Product

Upma is a basic South Indian recipe made with semolina, spices, vegetables, and herbs. While most of the Indian breakfast takes a considerable amount of time to cook, Upma tops the list of easy and quick recipes. Upma not only being an instant breakfast, but it is also the healthiest. Traditionally upma is made with coarse ground wheat, also known as Kesari rava, rava, or semolina. In this article, we will share an appetizing instant healthy upma recipe ideal for your breakfast and light meals by using Bansi Rava. INGREDIENTS:

· Bansi rava - 1cup

· Water - 3cups

· Edible vegetable oil - 2tbsp

· Mustard seeds - 1/2tbsp

· Split black lentils (urad dal) - 1/2tbsp

· Curry leaves - 4

· Chilies (slit) - 2 or 3 ( according to your spice resistance)

· Finely chopped onions - 1/4cup

· Vegetables( beans, carrots, etc) - 1/4 cup

· Cilantro - 2tbsp(finely chopped)

· Salt - according to your taste

· Any nuts of your choice ( peanuts, cashews) -2tbsp


INSTRUCTIONS:

1. Dry roast bansi rava in a heavy-bottomed pan till it turns golden brown and releases a pleasant aroma.

2. Remove the roasted bansi rava to a plate and add oil to the same pan and fry mustard seeds and split black lentils.

3. Now, add curry leaves, split chilies to the pan, and saute for a few minutes on a medium flame.

4. Add chopped onions and fry till they turn golden brown, now add the vegetables you like and saute for about 3 mins. You can always skip vegetables if you want.

5. To that pan, add roasted bansi rava, water, salt, and mix well. Now, let it cook for about 13 mins on a medium-low flame by covering the pan with a lid.

6. Fry any nuts you want to add in your upma and add them 3 mins before you plate the upma for extra crunch.

7. Later, garnish upma with a dash of cilantro and enjoy your nutritious, yummy breakfast.
